Improvements in the lives of children, families and communities served by public human services agencies are driven by three major factors:

Program funding and regulations that create positive incentives and collaboration.
Direct client services that are developmental, practical, and responsive.
Agency organizational effectiveness – performance capacity, self-assessment, self-correction, and planfulness.

APHSA’s Leadership and Practice Development (LPD) staff address the second and third of these major factors. We combine expertise in organizational effectiveness and human services to provide a unique array of products and services that help state and local human services agencies drive systemic and systematic organizational change.
