Comment Letter on CMS's Rehabilitative Services to NPRM - 10/11/2007

Enhancing Family Friend and Neighbor Caregiving Quality: The Research Case for Public Engagement written by Richard Brandon at the University of Washington, in collaboration with the National Association of State Child Care Administrators, an affiliate of the American Public Human Services Association, and Child Trends, examines child care data and research to determine if there is a valid case for augmenting public efforts to enhance the quality of informal child care.

Administration’s 2007 Budget Proposal summarizes the provisions for health, social services, employment and training, and food and nutrition.

Supporting Family, Friend and Neighbor Caregivers: Findings from a Survey of State Policies, written by the Institute for a Child Care Continuum at Bank Street College in collaboration with the National Association of State Child Care Administrators, an affiliate of the American Public Human Services Association, and Child Trends, presents results of a 48-state survey on state regulations, subsidy policies, and special initiatives for this population of child care providers.
